Help with PDF files
The Portable Document Format (PDF) is a file format common to the internet and Government publications, leaflets and forms. It is used as it preserves the look and feel of an original document and can be used across many different types of computer and browser.
Opening PDF files
To open a PDF file you have two options.
1. You can download Acrobat Reader and install it onto your computer free of charge from the Adobe Acrobat site. Adobe Reader is a software program that is available to download for free from the Adobe website and allows you to read and print PDF files.
Download Adobe Reader
2. The second option is to use an online PDF conversion tool. You can visit the Adobe Acrobat website to translate a PDF file into a more readable format if you upload the file vai the form provided or send it to them via an email attachment.
